Tipi camping holidays and breaks in Wales. If you have a camping website with pages relating to Tipi camping in Wales and you would like to see it featured here please email camp@campingmobilehomesholidays.co.uk
I remember that we used to go to Wales quite a lot when we were kids but we stayed in B&B's rather go camping. My Dad vowed he would never, ever sleep in a tent after all the time he spent in them during WW2, and in any case there weren't many Tipis in this country in those days Can't blame him at all really because camping should be a voluntary leisure activity with a holiday atmosphere, but as we take most of our ideas from our parents in our formative years it's quite a surprise that I took to camping quite as I did.
I love it and have spent camping holidays in rain, snow, gales and sunshine, and provided I have food and something to cook it on I'm happy. Tipi camping, camping in a Yurt or a plain old fashioned tent suits me fine
Wales can be a little like that, weatherwise I mean, especially if you get to the foothills of Snowdon and put down your camping roots there as you can easily have several different micro climates in a single day. Having said that, Wales usually has quite benign weather and the countryside makes up for any shortfalls anyway.
Wales must be one of my favourite places for camping holidays, and add in the excellent walking it must rate as good as any, though potential campers be warned: it is not for those who want guaranteed uninterrupted sunshine - that is Spain, a couple of thousand miles away >>>>>>>>>> that way>>>>>>>>>>
Here are a couple of sites which specialise in Tipi camping holidays in Wales
