Camping Wales - Camping holidays in Wales: If you have a site relating to this topic and you would like to see it featured here then please email camp@campingmobilehomesholidays.co.uk
Nobody at this end felt they wanted to write this page, but to be a complete camping holiday site we have to include a page for camping in Wales, so it has fallen to moi to provide it. For those whose geographic knowledge is a tad on the scanty side Wales is stuck onto the East side of England and is that bit which starts just below Liverpool at it's North end to finish approximately at the sharp end of the River Severn at it's Southern boundary. To be fair, Wales is a lovely part of the UK and walking in the Welsh countryside is a delight. There are plenty of physical activities which you can take up on your camping holiday there such as fishing, canoeing and there are stacks of towns dotted all along the coast from North to South full of slot machines just waiting to to take your money.
When we were young our parents used to take us on holiday to Wales, not camping because you would never have caught my Dad doing that, but staying in Guesthouses, and we enjoyed it in those innocent days. I went back some years later as a young adult with some friends on a camping holiday and we didn't enjoy the experience quite so much. Why? The PC brigade reading this would no doubt like to string me up for saying this but we all felt that we weren't welcome in their little country.
Not to be put off, I repeated the experience as a newly married man with my wife a couple of years later and we felt just the same, so I haven't bothered going back for the last 40 years and wild horses wouldn't drag me there again. If you have read a few of the other camping/mobile home pages this site has to offer then you will appreciate that I personally have been camping all over Europe, and lots of other countries outside of Europe too, and I have never experienced anything but goodwill from the different nationalities I have met along the way other than those two visits to Wales.
Having said all the above you may suspect that I personally dislike the Welsh but this is untrue: I realise that I may have come up against a pocket or two of English hating Welsh people who spoiled the experience for me and mine though I don't know why they are like this when they rely to a huge extent on the English economy to keep the place afloat.
Anyway, if you do decide to take a camping holiday in Wales I sincerely hope you enjoy it more than we did.
