Camping, mobile homes & mobile home holidays in St Cast, northern Brittany

St Cast, or to give the place it’s proper name, St Cast-le-Guildo, has been a popular camping and mobile home holiday resort for many years, and a firm favourite for school coach holidays. It is a relatively small town perched at the mouth of the Baie de Frenaye on the coast of northern Brittany and very handy for the ferry port of St Malo which is just a few KMs to the east.

St Cast faces the Emerald coast, or Cote d’Emeraud and has a climate similar to but probably a tad milder than the south of England. It has some long sandy beaches which are safe and wonderful for children – possibly one reason why it attracts so many school trips – and the coast from here and round to St Malo is pretty amazing by anyone’s standards with quiet sandy bays and craggy outcrops to bustling towns with local markets.

You can always find a deserted beach round here, and if you like walking then this will be paradise for you with seriously superb views from the headlands.

If you have arrived with your own transport then a visit to Dinan with its ancient timbered houses and shops is a must, and of course Dinan was a fortified town with walls all around it, most of which are still in good repair.
