Camping and mobile home holidays in La Baule, Pays de la Loire, Vendee on the Atlantic coast: If you have a mobile homes site or one about camping in la Baule area and you would like to see it featured here then please email camp@campingmobilehomesholidays.co.uk
If you travel Westwards from the direction of Nantes to La Baule, most of which is an easy ride on dual carriageway, then you will experience no difficulties whatsoever in reaching your camping or mobile home site. Howver, if you travel Northwards from the direction of Pornic to la Baule then you will have to cross the river Loire at St Nazaire. No big deal you may think, and you would be quite right unless you suffer from a fear of heights, because the St Nazaire bridge is a massive hump back bridge and if you are in the slow lane you are looking directly down into the river. It's a long drop!
When you have got over the fright you will nearly have arrived at your camping mobile home holiday site which will most probably be in the Pornichet, le Pouliguen, Guerande or le Croisic areas, all of which help to make up La Baule. All of these small towns are situated more or less on or very near to the beach.
A nice day out from your mobile home site would be to take a nice easy ride to Carnac to have a look round the town and certainly the standing stones which may have been there several thousand years are well worth seeing. If you go to St Nazaire we advise that you find a Park and Ride rather than drive in and have the hassle of parking. The cost of Park and Ride for a day in France seems to equate to a couple of hours parking here - excellent value for money.
If you tire of the beaches around la Baule there is always the Foret Gavre to see and walk in, take a picnic and see if you can find any red squirrels - last time we were there we counted more red squirrels than people!
All in all then, there is much to see and do around the la Baule area, so book a nice, comfy mobile home now for your holidays there in 2009.
