Yurt kits and plans: Yurt kits and plans for you to build your own Yurt. If your company provides Yurt kits and/or plans and you would like to have it featured on this page please email camp@campingmobilehomesholidays.co.uk

Yurts obviously vary in price depending on the size you buy and the level of finish that you specify, so there can't really be an average price for one, but having talked to people in the trade a good guess is that 4K GBP will buy you a nice, finished Yurt which is ready to accept your first campers. That might sound a lot of money but if you have some gound to spare like a field where you can put them and a small shower/toilet block - and this is where farmers come into their own to supplement their farming income these days - then you don't need too many weeks charging the top rate during school holidays to make a serious dent in that £4,000. I have seen many, many Yurt sites which charge between £400 and £475 per week in high season, then add in low and medium seasons and see what it comes to. I guess that with a favourable wind you could just about make your money back in a season, so I rate that as a pretty good investment.

If the Yurt is for your own use then a large patio or a nice flat lawn would be ideal, and it could be used for party overspill as well - your guests would just love it!. If you are going into business then you will obviously need more room and a shower and tolilet block which will have to pass inspection by the authorities. You may also need planning permission for a business and also probably if you are going to live in a Yurt full time.

Of course you may not have £4K, or multiples of £4K if you are setting up a Yurt camping business, and this is where Yurt kits and/or plans come in handy. Make your own yurts from kits for far less than you can buy them fully made.
