Mobile home holidays Italy - If you have a mobile home holiday website and you would like to see it featured here then please email camp@campingmobilehomesholidays.co.uk

Italy, that land of delightful people, rich and tasty food, good wine and sunshine. Combine all that with a holiday in a spacious modern mobile home with all the mod cons of home. Italy, the Northern parts at least, is well within reach for the self drive, self catering holidaymaking family.

Yep, self drive holidays to Italy where you stay in a mobile home for a week or two are just the ticket. Not everyone enjoys the long drive but I rate it as part of the holidays to the extent that my hols start when I throw the luggage and family in the car and finally set off - usually after several false starts when one or the other has forgotten to pack something. I always travel light to suit the weather where I'm going so apart from shorts and T shirts most of what I need is my passport and wallet. With my family the latter has to be well padded!

Mobile home holidays these days are just wonderful providing you have booked a mobile large enough. They are superbly appointed with proper beds,a large lounge, cooker etc, fridge and freezer and a shower with separate toilet etc. There is always parking space outside your mobile home and if you book through a Brit company they will have an English speaking Rep on site to meet you and show you the ropes.

Have you ever driven to Italy before from the UK? My first time was many, many years ago and driving in Italy was a complete and utter nightmare because that was in the days when there were no Motorways in England, the French Autoroutes and dual carriageways had yet to be invented, and we had to drive through the Hellhole which was Milan. Nice city even then, but only if you didn't have to drive through it! We drove through Switzerland that first time and as I remember things that was the best bit.

These days of course it is simple and you rarely drive through cities because of the newer road systems, but even so, Northern Italy is still a good drive from the South coast of England, and 5 hours longer if you happen to be in the Midlands like we are. One good thing though is the fact that there are plenty of places to stop and hyave a coffee or whatever these days.

When you get to your chosen resort in Italy you will find that your mobile home holiday there is no different to one in France or anywhere else in terms of luxury, but it is the fact that you are on holiday where you want to be and the weather that matters most. Enjoy your trip.
