American motorhome insurance

Most people have fantasies of one sort or another though we don't want to dig too far into that subject on this page (Sorry Melinda) as this is really about a dream, a far away dream for most of us. It appears that the so called fantasy is mainly dreamed about by men of a certain age group, namely that they want to buy, rent, hire, borrow or steal a motorhome, an American Motorhome for preference, and do the tour round Europe or even further for between 6 and 12 months. I emphasise with them because I've been there myself and at the age of 61 and a half I would still go off and do it tomorrow, if I was allowed, but I suspect that She Who Must Be Obeyed has other plans for me.

Of course there would be certain problems to overcome, one of which is the language barrier if all you speak is English and you can't or won't learn a few words of any other language to see you through an emergency situation. It may be fine and dandy sticking to English on the Spanish Costas, but go inland a bit and they won't have a clue what you're on about, honest.

We Brits are a resourceful bunch though so I guess most of us would get by until we stumble upon a serious situation like an accident or a breakdown - just picture your nice shiny American Motorhome leaking oil all over the road in the Black Forest - do you know the German for "my ***^^****! engine has just blown up mate, any chance of a lift?"  No, nor me. So what you really need is some good, comprehensive insurance, a policy which will cover you for every eventuality, a policy which will allow you to explain the problem to another English speaking person and be satisfied that help is on the way.
