Camping and mobile home holidays on the Ile de Noirmoutier, Vendee: If you have anything to do with mobile homes or camping in Noirmoutier and you would like to see it featured here then please email camp@campingmobilehomesholidays.co.uk

Now what can we say about the Ile de Noirmoutier and it's surrounding area other than I would rather be tapping out these pages in Noirmoutier than here in Chesterfield where the fog is dropping and last night's frost is still with us. It is a lovely little island with enough great beaches at the far end to keep anyone happy, and if you are arriving from the direction of Nantes it's an easy South West run to Fromentine which is right on the coast, and from there the far end of the island where your camping and mobile home holidays site will be is another 20 Km.

On the North side of the island is the Baie de Bourgneuf, and to the South and West is the Côte de Lumière which adjoins the Atlantic (but if we are being realistic then the whole lot is in the bay of Biscay).

Why do people take camping or mobile home holidays on islands like Noirmoutier instead of more populated places? For peace and quiet I would think. Obviously there are towns and villages on the Ile de Noirmoutier, but life there seems to have taken on the laid back pace of the holidaymaker rather than the frantic rushing about which you would encounter anywhere here in the UK.

Time now to be booking your mobile home holiday there?
