Naturist holidays in France: If you have a site relating to this topic and would like to see it featured here then please email camp@campingmobilehomesholidays.co.uk

France lends itself to naturist holidays like no other country I know. The French have always had a far more relaxed attitude to nakedness than we Brits - we learn at school that this is because we still suffer from the Victorian attitude which was against anything openly referring to nudism, though the Victorians just loved their little peep shows of naked ladies, didn't they just!! Sadly that attitude still exists but it is thankfully being "bred out" as new generations come along.

Those days are mostly gone and behind us, and we can easily strip off on a beach just as other nationalities do, can't we? Well, some of us can but lots of Brits still feel unable to take part in activities on naturist beach holidays, even in France where nobody knows them from Adam and they won't ever meet again in their lives unless by arrangement. Still they are reticent, just as my wife was all those years ago, but an evening walk on a naturist beach when not many people were about soon got her into it and she has suffered no qualms about going as nature intended ever since.

Having said that, we love our holidays in France but don't often book naturist ones per se; we tend to bkk our holidays in France near to a naturist beach and go there for some freedom and an all over tan when we want some beach time, which is most days. no tan lines for us, and no white buns either.

Our site is basically a consumer information site and most of the info comes from one or another of our quite small family, but right now we are attempting to get more people involved, not only in naturist holidays but also the social side of them as well. Some Brits worry about how they will appear to strangers when they are naked; Don't worry!  We are all naked and nobody is perfect. You will find that after a cursory glance (if you're lucky) nobody will stare at your naughty bits at all. Nobody cares if you are fat, thin or in between. Naturists come from all walkes of life, from all types of society and being naked is the ultimate leveller. Please think about that, believe it and you are well on your way to enjoying your first naturist holiday in France, Spain, Portugal or wherever.

I know that lots of people think that the only naturist holidays in France are available in the South, but that's complete rubbish: there are masses of naturist beaches dotted around the coast and inland too, so it just depends where you want to take your hols. Cap D'Agde is the most famous naturist area for holidays in France but you certainly don't need to go that far, and if this is your first time then the South of France could be a tad too hot for sunbathing naked, after all, we don't want any burnt bits do we?

Naturist holidays are available nearer than the South of France; why not give the Vendee a try, or Brittany (in Summer). A quick run down from most of the Northwestern ferry ports to the Vendee is a matter of just a few hours, and you could be relaxing naked in the evening sunlight the first day, depending of course how far you have had to travel in the UK to your ferry port.

Guys: if you are embarrassed about your "size" then fret no more. You don't need to have a big willy to go on a naturist holiday in France or anywhere else. A word of caution though to all the newbie nudist guys: Because your buns and privates may not have been exposed to the sun for many years make sure you get plenty of high factor sun cream slapped on - or better still, get a nice naked person of the opposite sex to help with that!
