Yurts for sale: If you have a site relating to this topic and you wouyld like to see it featured here then please email camp@campingmobilehomesholidays.co.uk
Buy a Yurt in 2009 and you are buying into the Green scene. Yurts are considered Eco friendly for several reasons as they apparently don't leave much of a carbon footprint, if that's the correct way of putting it. The frame is normally made from wood sourced from sustainable forests and the covering is made with a thick felt inner which is sandwiched between two skins. Most holiday companies provide a log burner which sits in the middle of the Yur and which, with the insulated exterior skin will keep you nice and snug all year round. We have another page on site which deals with Yurt kits if you're interested.
The sale of Yurts in the past few years has been a phenomenon: Tipis and Yurts seem to be taking over the camping scene in the UK especially and some parts of France as well. It seeks that the rest of Europe is lagging behind somewhat but no doubt they will play catch up this year or next. If you are planning to buy a Yurt for your own use then there is no planning permission needed - just erect and furnish it. Having said that, you may well need permission from your local council if you intend to turn your new Yurt into a permanent dwelling. Living in it and having it for occasional use are two different things entirely.
Yurt sales have flourished in the small business area too. Masses of farmers in England, Scotland and Wales have given over parts of their land to the leisure industry and are now advertising all over the place for Yurt holidays. Good luck to them too I say.
If you are seriously looking for a Yurt for sale then you need to ensure that it carries a guarantee of course. You can buy them made in the UK or you can even look at those for sale from Mongolia too.
