Yurt camping holidays in England. If you have a yurt camping business website and would like to see it featured on this page then please email camp@campingmobilehomesholidays.co.uk

You could say that in my time I've been there and done it; camped all over England and Europe in varying types of tents ranging from a stick and a blanket to keep the mozzies off to the proper job we were lent one year on the banks of Lake Lucerne in Switzerland when our own tent had an accident, but until this year I have never been camping in a yurt as we did this summer for a couple of nights. Wow! Nice! No wonder Attila liked yurts. I had no idea that yurts were so comfortable and the one we stayed in can easily be described as luxurious. Luckily we were out of high season because then the weekly rate rises to around £475 ish this year (2008) which is very reasonable for a family but more than I would want to pay for a couple of codgers like us.

Yurt camping has really taken off recently in England, Scotland and Wales, and has been labelled Glamping, short for  glamorous camping. No chance of getting wet if you are Yurt camping, the floors are raised up from the field and the thickness of the tent makes the whole thing really snug and dry.
Bank End Farm - Yurt camping on the Isle of Wight, England. Each sleeping 4 comfortably. Equipped with; - 1 double futon, 2 single futons, a woodburner, comfortable cushions and colourful rugs. Bedding and linen are provided as well as all manor of cooking and culinary implements. Located in a perfect spot to relax and unwind. To the front of each yurt there are fantastic panoramic views over the farm to the nearby coastal footpath –a short 3-4 minute stroll away. Whilst to the back of the yurts, there is a wooded dell where red squirrels can sometimes be seen.

Yurt Holidays - We have a magical place hidden in the heart of beautiful East Devon, Southern England. A place close to a spectacular coastline, in the heart of the most wonderful Devon countryside, somewhere you can completely relax and experience Yurt camping with a difference!

Here on Hunger Hill we have four authentic Mongolian Nomads Yurts set in a secluded two-acre field on a small holding with sheep, pigs and chickens and a friendly old dog! We are in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with panoramic views over the Otter Valley just ten minutes by car from the M5 at Exeter and five minutes from the sea at Budleigh Salterton and Sidmouth.
