The Summer of 2009 is proving to be a tough time for tour operators in Europe, partly because of the global financial uncertainty which has enveloped us - "am I going to have a job tomorrow - will I be on short time soon?" are valid questions that lots of us are asking ourselves right now. Anyone selling holidays in the Eurozone is at a disadvantage this year because of the marked dip in the value of the £ Pound Sterling against the Euro - to the point where they are virtually worth the same. Of course, this makes a holiday in France, Spain, Italy etc expensive when you get there, but if you take a deal then it becomes that bit more attractive, more affordable.

We sent off for 2 brochures for mobile home holidays this June in the Torbay area. There are 3 of us and the cost for mid to late June was (is) £650 for 1 week. We know several of the smaller tour operators who are offering 2 weeks in a mobile home in France for roughly the same money, and that includes the Dover/Calais ferry crossing, and that is not a deal or offer, that is their normal price which may yet be reduced.

And that is precisely why we have set up this page, because we truly believe that camping and mobile home holidays in the Eurozone represent better value for money that those on offer in the UK, especially when the tour operators are offering camping and mobile home holiday deals.
