Yurt camping in Cornwall - If you would like to see your Cornish Yurt camping site featured here then please email camp@campingmobilehomesholidays.co.uk

If you were asked to go camping in a Yurt in Cornwall as an experiment for a year what would you say? Yes or no? My guess is that after some thought most people would give a definite no to that. On the contrary, I would be more than happy to go provided the toilet/shower block was handy. I don't mind having a shower more or less outside in winter providing the water is warm, and inside the Yurt most certainly would be warm because most of them have multi fuel/log burners which can keep the place snug all winter once yo get to know how to use them properly. They should be wam anyway because they were invented to be used in an extremely adverse climate, probably by the Huns/Mongols but no one has come up with an accurate date.

So much for all that then, but Cornwall is probably one of the most visited tourist areas in Summer, and even though there are stacks of campsites you don't often see ads for Yurt camping. Probably it hasn't taken off yet in Cornwall and we may see an emergence of it in 2009. Certainly I would have thought that some enterprising companies would have taken up the challenge to offer Yurt camping holidays and breaks in Cornwall. If you have then please get in touch.
