We love Dorset and think it's a super place, but unfortunately this last few years we have only passed through to Poole in order to catch the Condor Ferry  to France. Really, I suppose we should treat our historic and beautiful counties with more respect and more of us should make them a base for holidays. That way we could enjoy more of what Dorset has to offer, especially in terms of camping facilities.

Yurt camping, which is rapidly catching on in England, Scotland and Wales as well as France and Spain + other countries in Europe to a lesser degree, is also becoming more popular in Dorset. At the time of writing (Nov 2008) Dorset is not probably the most popular venue for Yurt camping holidays but we hope that will change this winter and that we shall see a plethora of adverts for Yurt camping holidays in Dorset
