Luxury camping holidays.
Thankfully we are all different and many of us hold differing views as to what is a luxury holiday and what isn't. Having been around the block a couple of times, luxury camping holidays mean to me a comfortable bed complete with duvet, half decent living quarters, shower, cleanliness, and doing next to nothing all day in the sun, and until recently a bar, but I'm not allowed drinkies these days, for a while at least.
Others though may dwell more on luxury appointments in their accommodation, bits and pieces of wood trim etc, but thankfully these days your requirements can usually be met whatever they are. It would be awful to go back to the days of Billy Butlins in the 1950's - do you remember them?
Luxury camping holidays now come under the banner of Glamping holidays - glamping standing for glamorous luxury camping, a trendy label no doubt started by the followers of Yurt camping as Yurts are about as luxurious as you can get in the world of tents and camping. These guys are the Green Eco warriors of the camping world and support the use tents like Yurts because of the so called "Green" way they have been constructed and heated with wwod burners. I like Yurts though and have actually stayed in one but my view of these so called green people is that they are complete trendy pillocks and when they have grown up they will morph into labour politicians. Normal people just take holidays in them and then go and tell their friends all about the new experience.
But I digress. Of course there are other types of camping holidays which most assuredly come under the luxury heading: take chalets and log cabins for instance. If they aren't luxurious compared to a tent then I don't know what is. So I guess it all depends on what your idea of luxury is.
